People United Against Cuts

Hundreds of local organizations* including Empower San Diego are mobilizing and and coordinating as "People United Against Cuts," a local coalition formed to oppose the Governor's proposed state budget cuts that will have a catastrophic impact on children, seniors, people with disabilities, low income families, college students, and HIV/AIDS patients. Speakers will included: Lorena Gonzalez - San Diego - Imperial Counties Labor Council; Gene Lamke - California Faculty Association, San Diego State University; Camille Zombro - San Diego Education Association; Aida Reyes - Supportive Parents Information Network.
